The United Methodist Profession of Faith and Reception:

1. Do you renounce the spiritual forces of wickedness, reject the evil powers of this world and repent of your sin?
2. Do you accept the freedom and power God gives you to resist evil, injustice, and oppression in whatever forms they present themselves?
3. Do you confess Jesus Christ as your Savior, put your whole trust in his grace, and promise to serve him as your Lord, in union with the church which Christ has opened to people of all ages, nations, and races?
4. According to the grace given you, will you remain faithful members of Christ’s holy church and serve as Christ’s representatives in the world?
5. As members of Christ’s universal church, will you be loyal to the United Methodist Church, and do all in your power to strenghten its ministries?
6. As members of this congregation, with you faithfully participate in its ministries by your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service?


How we interpret these vows at Community Church

    1. To be committed to Jesus Christ and nurture that commitment with regular prayer, Bible reading. To attend half or more of Sunday worship services and participate in a small group once per year.

           2. To witness by inviting a friend to church at least once per quarter

           3. To tithe money and talent by financial commitments and a gift of
           service to the Millennium plan within the church.

     4. To show concern for the justice and grace of God as you support the
    Multilanguage and multiethnic church of 4 congregations  in Jackson
    Heights.
